FAQS

  • What type of power is required to run each machine?

Each machine requires a Dedicated 15amp power source which means you cannot have anything else running on that circuit. Each machine is tested daily at our facility to ensure its proper working order and is again tested on location at the time of delivery. Client MUST not add electrical devices to the circuit once Daiquiri Daddy has left the premises – No Refunds will be given for insufficient power once clients accept delivery.

  • Are the machines easy to use?

Yes indeed. We mix your first batch for you and show you how to use the machine. NO ICE IS NEEDED

  • How many drinks does one batch yield?

One batch of any Daiquiri Daddy’s Frozen Beverages makes about 60 eight-ounce drinks. Our experience shows that usually half or more guests drink the frozen drinks even if offered a choice. We recommend one batch for every 25 frozen beverage drinkers. One machine will deliver frozen drinks for up to 60 frozen beverage drinkers. If more guests are expected, a second machine is strongly recommended otherwise too much demand is put on the one machine and it cannot perform properly. Extra mixes ARE REFUNDABLE IF RETURNED UNOPENED.

  • How do I turn on the machine?

Roughly one hour before you would like to start serving Daiquiri Daddy’s Frozen Beverages to your guests, simply Flip the switch to the Left, this will turn on the auger and the compressor will kick on shortly thereafter.

  • How do I turn off the machine?

Simply Flip the switch to the Center, this will shut down the auger and the compressor.

  • How long does the first batch take?

Indoors about 30 minutes, outside on hot days, about 60 min. There is no waiting between batches because you add to the reservoir as you go. preferably before machines mix-low alert light comes on – half gallon at a time.

  • What should I do when the product is dispensing very slow?

Don’t worry this is not an issue the machine is freezing perfectly fine it could mean one of the following:

The hopper is empty and the freezing chamber is very low

    Resolution: Add more product

Longer than normal period of time the last person dispensed a drink

Resolution: Wait for the machine to dispense (recommended)

Resolution: Flip the switch to the Right for a minute then back to the Left

  • Who provides the liquor and how much is needed?

The customer provides all liquor. A medium strength batch of margaritas calls for two liters tequila, and 16 oz. of triple sec liqueur. If using rum type drinks provide 2 liters per mix.

  • Are other kinds of drinks available?

Absolutely. Since all of our mixers are non-alcoholic they are perfect for the kiddies too.

  • How far in advance should I reserve my machine?

We recommend two weeks and longer for holiday seasons and traditional party dates like Halloween, Christmas and New Years Eve.

  • Helpful Hints:

If you have not rented a machine before, you may be surprised to learn that 50-70% of your guests will choose the frozen drinks over beer and wine. This means you can probably get by with providing less beer and wine.

Please tell us when you make your reservation if we will encounter any steps or stairways during delivery. If so, there must be one or more healthy males around to help the delivery person. Unauthorized transportation of machine(s) will result in a $500 fine. Please do not attempt to relocate, lift or otherwise move machines.
